GREENWICH MUSIC FESTIVAL: “DER KAISER VON ATLANTIS”
A green shoot of music culture has sprouted in the hedge-fund capital of the world: a spring festival, dedicated to opera, which this year offers Viktor Ullmann’s affecting one-act work—a parable of Nazism, written by its courageous composer in the Theresienstadt concentration camp—in collaboration with the superb young musicians of the International Contemporary Ensemble. Keith Phares, Rachelle Durkin, Jeffrey Tucker, and Peter Tantsits lead the cast; Robert Ainsley conducts. (Theatre at St. Catherine’s, 4 Riverside Ave., Greenwich, Conn. www.greenwichmusicfestival.org. June 10, June 12, and June 14 at 8.)
